(DNAINFO) Amy Zimmer | January 13, 2016 — If your child turns 4 this year, it’s time to start sorting out your pre-K options.

The application period for the city’s free program for 4-year-olds runs from Jan. 25 through Mar. 4, which is more than a month earlier than a year ago. Families can apply online, ranking up to 12 programs.

Offers will be sent in May.

Thanks to Mayor Bill de Blasio’s ambitious pre-K expansion, there will likely be enough free “full day” seats for the city’s roughly 70,000 4-year-olds.
