2nd Avenue Bus Stops Will be Restored By End of January, Officials Say

(DNAINFO) Shaye Weaver | January 10, 2017 — Bus stops were moved during the construction of the Second Avenue Subway.

Bus stops that were moved during construction of the Second Avenue Subway will return to their original locations along the stretch by the end of January, city officials say.

Representatives of NYC Transit presented a map of where they plan to place permanent bus stops on Second Avenue, from East 72nd to 96th streets, to Community Board 8‘s transportation committee and Second Avenue Subway task force on Wednesday.

Most of the stops are being put back where they were before the agency moved them to make way for construction, with some exceptions:

The M15 Select Bus Service bus stop on the west side of the stretch, between 88th and 89th streets, will be moved two blocks south between 86th and 87th streets, and the stop on the northwest corner of 100th street, will be moved down between 95th and 96th streets.
