(DNAINFO) Patrick Hedlund | June 29, 2016 — Many incumbents easily rode to victory while some new blood claimed victory in the primaries.
Many incumbents cruised to easy victories Tuesday as voters hit the polls for the primary election.
The most hotly contested race came in the battle for longtime Rep. Charles Rangel’s congressional seat, with state Sen. Adriano Espaillat expected to escape with a narrow win over Assemblyman Keith Wright.
