New York City, NY— May 2022— On May 23, 2022, at 1 PM, Midtown South Community Council invites community members to watch our supporters testify on the negative impact private equity has on patient care. https://ProtectMedicare.net/May23.
Seniors will testify on the detrimental impact that medicare plans administered by corporations have had on their health. This is an increasingly relevant issue as more New Yorkers enroll in Medicare Advantage Plans. Congressional Representatives will speak about what they have done and what we should all plan to do to protect our seniors. Community members are invited to watch the hearing and learn how Medicare Advantage Plans can impact the health and well-being of them and the broader community.
Confirmed speakers include representatives from Jane Addams Senior Caucus, the California Alliance of Retired Americans, the Puget Sound Advocates for Retirement Action, the Wisconsin chapter of Physicians for a National Health Program, and U.S. House Reps. Pramila Jayapal and Katie Porter
