“After reading Nadler’s article one big lie that stands out and has to be demonstrably defeated is that the demolition project has the support of the FEC [Fulton and Elliott-Chelsea] residents.” Nadler’s “Op Ed rests on that key falsehood of resident support.”—Leonard Poletta
I’m not going to bother to link that idiotic article that Congressman Nadler, his ghost writer, or Related’s PR team wrote to make you think the tenants are embracing the ludicrous idea of being cast out of their community, evicted from home; so that the developers can rip through the landscape killing 300 trees, supplanting tall luxury housing all around and over the parks and recreation where children play and people socialize, and through the discombobulating process be shuffled off this mortal coil earlier than needed.
What began as a rehabilitation project has now turned into a full blown urban renewal demolition of seven acres in prime Chelsea. The Related Companies, Essence, and NYCHA’s plan to steal public land with the support of our elected officials has become all too apparent.
How do you deny the undeniable “bait-and-switch from rehabilitation to demolition,” or ignore the “despicable greed” unless you have sold your soul to the devil and knee deep in corruption?
It’s not hard to figure the degree of inhumanity to which our government will support; particularly as our tax dollars are being laundered to prop up a rabid state to level a whole nation for development purposes.
