DOT Weekend Traffic Advisory For Friday May 20 to Sunday May 22, 2016

Dance Parade

The following streets will be closed Saturday from 1 pm to 4 pm for the Dance Parade as permitted by NYPD.

Formation:

•     21st Street between Park Avenue South and 5th Avenue

•     22nd Street between Park Avenue South and 5th Avenue

Route:

•     Broadway between 23rd Street and 17th Street

•     Union Square West between 17th Street and 14th Street

•     University Place between 14th Street and 8th Street

•     8th Street between University Place and 3rd Avenue

•     St. Marks Place between 3rd Avenue and Avenue A

Dispersal:

•     Avenue A between 7th Street and 12th Street

•     10th Street between Avenue A and Avenue B

Taste of Tribeca

The following streets will be closed Saturday from 11 am to 3 pm  for the Taste of Tribeca as permitted by the Mayor’s Street Activity Permit Office (SAPO).

Ye Old Village Fair

The following streets will be closed Saturday from 10 am to 6 pm  for the Ye Old Village Fair as permitted by the Mayor’s Street Activity Permit Office (SAPO).

Nepal Parade

The following streets will be closed Sunday from 1 pm to 4 pm for the Nepal Parade as permitted by NYPD.

 14th Annual NYPD Memorial 5K Run

The following streets will be closed Sunday from 10 am to 12 pm Noon  for the 14th Annual NYPD Memorial 5K Run as permitted by the Mayor’s Street Activity Permit Office (SAPO).

•     South End Avenue between Liberty Street and Albany Street

Amsterdam Avenue Festival

The following street will be closed Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm  for the Amsterdam Avenue Festival as permitted by the Mayor’s Street Activity Permit Office (SAPO).

Manhattan Chamber of Commerce 3rd Avenue Community Benefit Festival

The following street will be closed Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm  for the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce 3rd Avenue Community Benefit Festival as permitted by the Mayor’s Street Activity Permit Office (SAPO).

3rd Avenue between 66th Street and 86th Street

West 28th Street between 10th Avenue and 11th Avenue

This street will be closed 8 am to 8 pm Saturday and Sunday to facilitate crane operation.

West 29th Street between 7th Avenue and 8th Avenue

This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.

FDR Service Road between East 34th Street and East 30th Street

This street will be closed 10 pm Friday to 9 pm Sunday to facilitate crane operation.

East 54th Street between 2nd Avenue and 1st Avenue

This street will be closed Saturday from 8 am to 6 pm and Sunday from 9 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.

East 54th Street between 5th Avenue and Madison Avenue

This street will be closed 2 am to 2 pm Saturday and/or Sunday to facilitate crane operation.

East 55th Street between 2nd Avenue and 3rd Avenue

This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 6 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.

West 58th Street between 10th Avenue and 9th Avenue

This street will be closed 8 am to 6 pm Saturday and Sunday to facilitate crane operation.

FDR Drive (northbound) at Houston Street

The FDR Drive (northbound) at Houston Street will be fully closed from 12:01 am Saturday through 5 am Monday to facilitate NYCDOT Bridges overpass reconstruction work.  During this time, the FDR Drive northbound exit ramp to Houston Street will have 2 lanes available for thru traffic, with no access to Houston Street provided.  Motorists destined for Houston Street should follow the detour to the FDR Drive northbound 23rd Street exit.  Motorists wishing to access the FDR Drive northbound from eastbound Houston Street will be diverted to the 23rd Street entrance via 1st Avenue.  Additionally, pedestrians will be unable to access East River Park via the pedestrian ramps near Houston Street, and will be redirected to enter the park at entrances near the Williamsburg Bridge or 6th Street.
