Explosion at Bronx School Leaves 3 Workers Injured, Officials Say – Marble Hill – DNAinfo.com New York

(COMMON DREAMS)  Janon Fisher — Three workers constructing a new scince lab at Marble Hill’s John F. Kennedy High School were injured — one seriously — in an explosion Thursday night, according to sources and the FDNY.

The blast destroyed parts of the fourth, fifth and sixth floors of the building, sources said.

The workers struck a gas feeder line at the school, located at 99 Terrace View Ave., just after 8 p.m, according to sources and the FDNY. The building was still burning roughly an hour later.
