Flatiron Shootings Spur Community Leaders to Hold Meeting With Precinct

(DNAINFO) Noah Horowitz | November 23, 2015 — Following a string of violent incidents in the Flatiron, a public meeting is being held on Tuesday night to discuss safety and crime in the Broadway corridor.

The meeting, hosted by the the Public Safety Committee of Community Board 5, will give locals a chance to speak with officers from the 13th Precinct about how to improve safety and fight crime in the neighborhood, specifically on Broadway.

Several recent incidents, including the accidental shooting of a woman on Broadway near West 28th Street, spurred local officials to call the meeting, according to Jennifer Brown, president of the Flatiron Partnership/23rd Street BID.
