Italian Runner Missing After NYC Marathon, Police Say

(DNAINFO)  Aidan Gardiner | November 3, 2015 — an Italian man went missing after completing the New York City marathon Sunday afternoon, police said.

Gianclaudio Marengo, 30, who was staying at the Sleep Inn Hotel at 38-71 13th St. in Astoria, was last seen at the marathon’s finish line in Central Park minutes after 3 p.m., NYPD officials said.Marengo, who only speaks Italian, was wearing a turquoise shirt, black shorts and a racing bib with the number 23781, police said.

Marathon records show that the number on Marengo’s bib belongs to a man named Antonio Boschini, 57, who ran the race in 4 hours and 44 minutes.

Race photos show someone who resembles the missing man in photos distributed by police.
