Met Council On Housing Outreach

(MET COUNCIL ON HOUSING) Event Date: January 20, 2020

In Jan. of 1966. Martin Luther King Jr. Day called for “the unconditional surrender of forces dedicated to the creation and maintenance of slums.” 54 years later we are still dedicated to fighting that battle.

Landlords are mobilizing in Albany next week to roll back our wins and to stop unregulated tenants from gaining the same rights. On MLK Day we are going to reach out to unregulated tenants and invite them to join the fight for Good Cause eviction.

Join us on Martin Luther King Jr. Day – Jan 20th from 11 AM – 2 PM – to do outreach to tenants in Brooklyn or the Bronx.Sign up here!

  • Sunset Park – Meeting 11 am at Burger King 4101 4th Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11232
  • Northeast Bronx – McDonalds 11 am 1212 E Gun Hill Rd, The Bronx, NY 10467

Neglectful landlords and politicians want us to have divisions among ourselves, regulated tenants vs unregulated tenants. Together, we have won huge victories such as the end of deregulation and adding some basic protects for unregulated tenants. Join us on Martin Luther King Jr. Day – Jan 20th – to do outreach to tenants in one of three locations. Sign up here!

In Solidarity,

Andrea, Met Council on Housing
