MSCC Earth Week Cleanup Operation for April 19 & 21, 2017

(MSCC) John Mudd, April 19 & 21, 2017 — Are we ready for our Earth Week cleanup!

We have this Wednesday, April 19th and this Friday, April 21st scheduled for our Earth Week cleanup. We’ll meet up at 9:30am on the corner of 38th Street and 8th Avenue.

We’ll be removing derelict bikes, and everything else that has been abandoned for trash on our city streets. We will also be encouraging businesses to “Adopt a Basket.” Here is the link to the Adopt a Basket Program from the NYC Department of Sanitation (also attached) :

We’ll need hands, lots of hands! Please let me know if you would like to participate!

Members of the council, police department, Garment District, and community, will be participating in the cleanup. Several Columbia student/interns will be there too.

The NYC Sanitation Department is doing their part! We’ll be compiling all the trash and putting it on the corner of 38th Street and 8th Avenues. We will use the corner of Broadway and 36th Street location as a secondary pick up spot. We have a large area to cover.

Please bring gloves along with your energy and good will.
