(DNAINFO)  Nigel Chiwaya | January 1, 2016 — It’s a tie!Two babies were born at exactly midnight Friday in Queens and Brooklyn, making them the city’s first births of 2016.

Forest Hills parents Daniella and Eli Malakov welomed a newborn baby girl at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park, while Brooklyn mother Stephanie Diaz gave birth to a 7.1-pound baby boy named Zayden Noel at Coney Island Hospital.Both babies are doing well, officials said.
