NYPD Boosts Presence in Transit Hubs After Belgium Terror Attacks: Official

(DNAINFO)  Aidan Gardiner | March 22, 2016 — There is no known threat to New York, but the NYPD is deploying teams around the city, officials said.

The NYPD will increase its presence at city transit hubs and other crowded areas Tuesday morning following the terror attacks in a Belgian airport and subway station that killed dozens of people, officials said.

The NYPD action come hours after terrorists detonated two bombs in the Brussels’ international airport and a city subway station, possibly in retaliation for the capture of a prominent terrorist days earlier, according to the New York Times.
