(RESCUE ALLIANCE) February 2-23, 2019 Don’t Walk By is an annual winter outreach to New Yorkers surviving on the street. We are in our 11th year, and every year over 1000 volunteers (with socks, hygiene kits, and resource cards) have canvassed the streets of Manhattan, met over 10,000 individuals and invited them back to a host site. There they are offered a hot meal, clothing, basic medical care, and connection to ongoing assistance.
