Rubin Museum to Host Lunchtime Meditation Series
(DNAINFO) Rosa Goldensohn — AUGUST 5, 2015-? — Beginning in August, The Rubin Museum will offer a dose of mindfulness during lunchtime on Wednesdays.
The Rubin Museum focuses on the art and culture of the Himalayas and South Asian countries such as Nepal and India, where meditation has long been a part of life.
“Himalayan practitioners have, for centuries, used meditation to quiet the mind, open the heart, calm the nervous system, and increase one’s ability to focus,” the museum’s website says. “Now, Western scientists, business leaders and the secular world have embraced meditation as a vital tool for brain health.”
