See How Upper East Side Schools Did on State Tests This Year

(DNAINFO)  Shaye Weaver — Students on the Upper East Side outpaced many of their peers on state tests this year, according to data released by the Department of Education this week.

Across the city, roughly 35 percent of students met Common Core standards in math, an increase of 34 percent over last year, officials said. About 30 percent met Common Core standards in English, up from 28 percent last year.

On the Upper East Side, students’ scores were ahead of the citywide numbers, results showed.

The school with the highest number of students meeting proficiency standards was East Side Middle School, with roughly 89 percent of students meeting English standards and 91.4 percent meeting math standards.
