Singer-Songwriter Concert Series Coming to Pier 26’s City Vineyard

(DNAINFO) Irene Plagianos | January 11, 2017 — Musicians in the series, which starts Jan. 25, include Ben Lee and Jill Sobule.

Along with 15 types of wine, live music is now on tap for Pier 26’s City Vineyard.

The expansive, glassy restaurant, run by the owners of City Winery, announced its first concert series, featuring musicians including Ben Lee and Jill Sobule, of “I Kissed a Girl” fame.

Starting Jan. 25, the restaurant will feature a different singer-songwriter every Tuesday and Wednesday, at 8:30 p.m., through mid-April. Tickets, which are general admission, cost $20.

No more than 100 tickets will be issued for each show, creating a “cozy, intimate music venue” with the “gorgeous background of the Hudson River,” organizers said.

Tickets for the “Voices on the Hudson” series, which also features artists Lucie Wainwright Roche and Ruthie Foster, can be purchased online. Concertgoers are welcome to eat from the restaurant’s full menu before, during or after the show.

City Vineyard, at N. Moore Street and West Street, opened this summer after several delays.
