Take a Free 10-Week Coding Class at the Columbus Library This Winter

(DNAINFO)  Maya Rajamani | October 11, 2016 — The library on 10th Avenue is one of seven in the city offering the introductory coding course.

Aspiring computer scientists can master the basics of coding during a free 10-week course this winter.

The Columbus Library at 742 10th Ave., between West 50th and 51st streets, is one of seven in the city offering introductory coding classes through a new New York Public Library TechConnectprogram called Project_<code>.

The two-hour sessions — which are open to adults and will take place twice a week for 10 weeks — kick off with an introduction to HTML, CSS, source code and tags.

By the end of the program, students will have designed their own website as part of a “capstone project.”

Students who complete the course will receive a Project_<code> certificate at a graduation ceremony.
