Thieves Snatch 30 Fur Coats From Midtown Shop, Police Say
(DNAINFO) Noah Horowitz | December 29, 2015 — A group of thieves smashed the glass door of a fur shop and made off with $25,000 worth of coats, according to the NYPD.
Three suspects broke into Henry Cowit/Madison Avenue Furs, at 118 W. 27th St. near Sixth Avenue, shortly before 4 a.m. on Nov. 16, loaded 30 fur coats into a black four-door sedan and fled, authorities said.
Security footage from inside the store shows two thieves — including one wearing a head lamp — dashing back and forth carrying piles of the pricey coats.
The store did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
