Woman Struck and Critically Injured by MTA Bus in Midtown, Officials Say
(DNAINFO) Aidan Gardiner — A woman was critically injured when an MTA bus struck her as she was jaywalking in Midtown, officials said.
The woman, who is in her 50s, was crossing West 57th Street between Broadway and Eighth Avenue about 9:40 a.m., when the left side of an X1 bus struck her, NYPD and MTA officials said.
The woman, whose name was not immediately released, was taken to New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center in critical condition, police said.
