WTC Oculus Opening This Spring, Port Authority Official Says

(DNAINFO)  Irene Plagianos | January 13, 2016 — After months of delays, the massive, white-winged World Trade Center Oculus is aiming to open as early as April, a Port Authority official said.

Glen Guzi, the Port Authority’s program director, said the sprawling centerpiece of the $4 billion WTC transportation hub is slated to open “within the second quarter” this year — between April and June — but on the earlier end, “not in six months.”

Guzi, speaking during a CB1 meeting earlier this week, declined to give an official date for the launch of the rib-like, Santiago Calatrava-designed Oculus, but said construction progress is moving ahead.
